Your furniture is normally shipped within 10* business days via UPS. It ships ready to assemble and will arrive right at your door. You don’t have to make any special delivery arrangements. More info & Photos.

What Does “Ready to Assemble” Mean?

We ship all our products by UPS. The items are delivered ready-to-assemble in conveniently sized packages. You provide the final set-up. All the wood parts are numbered for easy reference and the instructions show you exactly what to do. A screwdriver is the only necessary tool and there is no gluing. The furniture is ready for immediate use.

How Much Weight Will It Support?
People sometimes ask, “Since this is ready-to-assemble furniture, will it be creaky and flimsy and will the frame flex?” Good question. The answer is no. Our frames are very rigid and solid; our sofa will support more than 2,000 pounds. It is laboratory tested to prove its rigidity and to ensure that the frames won’t loosen or wobble.


What Is It Made Of?
The frames are made from aspen, an engineered wood panel of the type that builders use on houses. We’ve had our products tested in a laboratory and everything carries a five-year warranty. Very rigid and solid, our sofa will support over 2,000 pounds.


Is It Comfortable?
Our customers certainly think so. Read their comments. We use eight-inch-thick seat cushions. That’s a lot of padding, and our pieces are a great place for a nap! More info.


Can I Wash the Fabrics?
Yes, if you select one of our washable patterns. If a fabric is washable, this will be indicated in the fabric description text. You can also sort the fabric selections by washability. When washing, use a gentle setting and spin dry. Put the covers back on the furniture while they’re still damp. Don’t use the dryer.


What's "Renewability"?
Furniture gets used hard. It looks good when new, but maintaining and replacing parts that are showing age is usually difficult. The Home Reserve story works out differently. Say for instance that the family dog attacks a seat cushion or arm. You can get the individual foam and fabric parts you will need to make it all look new again!
We call it renewability. You may call it stress relief. Find out more about renewability here.


How Long Does It Take to Change Cover Sets?
For a sofa, it takes about 30 minutes to take the old fabrics off, and 30 minutes to get the new ones on. Voilà…a new sofa!


Can I Convert from One Style of Furniture to Another?
Yes. All the styles can be converted from one to another. Contact customer service for information on conversion kits. Combine this feature with our changeable fabric sets and you get a complete makeover -- without buying new furniture. Cool stuff.


Can I Take It Apart If I Move?
Definitely. Being ready to assemble works both ways. Take it apart, put it back together again and it will be just as strong as ever. This is the furniture to have during a move!

Can I Get Home Reserve in a Store?
No, we operate exclusively for online shoppers. But you are welcome to come visit our showroom in Fort Wayne!


Returns?
If you’re not happy with your Home Reserve furniture for any reason, we’ll refund the purchase price of the item. Shipping charges are nonrefundable. Just return the item to us in new, unused condition within 30 days of the date of purchase.

Save the original packaging for a while, just in case you decide to return an item. A vacuum will be needed to get the foam back into its box. (We shrink-pack the foam in order to fit it into a UPS-size box.) Contact customer service for a return merchandise number and we’ll also e-mail a repacking guide if you need it.


Do you ever have sales?
No we don't. The price on the site is the lowest available. We never have any special promotions. It's always direct from our factory and you don't have to worry that there might be a better time to shop.

How do you get an entire sofa in two UPS size boxes?
Half of the answer is that we ship our products ready to assemble. The other half of the answer is that we use a patented vacuum shrink process to reduce the volume of the foam for shipping. It’s a fascinating procedure and you can watch the video below to see how we do it (US Patent #6,267,446).



Do you Scotchguard?
We don't, because it’s much less expensive for you to do it yourself. Stores like Wal-Mart sell Scotchguard by the can. Just spray it on. It's the same material and process that furniture stores use.

Do you ever stop carrying certain fabric patterns and colors?
Yes that does happen. We are working with the best American fabric mills but their practice is to cycle patterns as color trends change. We try to limit the occasions when we have to retire a fabric because it can be frustrating to our customers who are adding units to their existing Home Reserve furniture collections. Sometimes there are fabrics in other patterns that can be matched to a retired color.
